There’s something sacred about a good wrap during a Mets game—the kind you can eat with one hand while cheering with the other. This one? It’s a masterpiece: layered, balanced, bold.
It’s got the chewy farro. The lemony zing. The juicy grilled chicken. And those roasted portobellos and onions? That’s the heart of the lineup. Toss in some Purple Rain slaw, creamy hummus, salty feta, toasted almonds, and pickled red onions for that extra pop—and now you’re eating with Citi Field energy in October.

🥙 Ingredients:

  • 1 large wrap or flatbread, toasted
  • 2 tbsp hummus
  • 1/3 cup cooked farro
  • 1/2 cup grilled chicken, sliced
  • 1/2 cup roasted vegetables, chopped. Include:
    • Portobello mushrooms
    • Onions
    • (Optional: peppers, zucchini, eggplant)
  • 1/4 cup Purple Rain slaw
  • 1 tbsp lemon vinaigrette
  • 1 tbsp feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds, toasted
  • A few strips of pickled red onion

🔧 Assembly:

  1. In a bowl, combine farro, chicken, and roasted veg. Microwave until warm (about 45 seconds).
  1. Toast the wrap in a skillet or microwave to make it flexible.
  1. Build it:
      • Spread hummus
      • Add warm farro
      • Pile on grilled chicken
      • Spoon in roasted veg
      • Top with slaw
      • Drizzle vinaigrette
      • Finish with feta, almonds, and pickled onion
